Indore is the gateway to the Malwa region, located in the southwest of the state of Madhya Pradesh. Its Golden Triangle is made up by Ujjain, Mandu and Omkareshwar. Ujjain is one of the seven sacred cities of Hinduism and one of four major locations where sacred Kumbh Mela is organized. It houses one of 12 sacred Jyotirlingams in India and it houses Mahakaleshwar Temple.
